This Privacy Policy explains how AI Chat Recall (“the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome/Firefox extension.

Information We Collect

The Extension only collects minimal information, specifically:

• Google Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive only your email via Google OAuth.
• User-Saved Chat Titles: When you add a conversation to favorites, only up to the first 300 characters of the title are saved. Full conversations are not stored.
• User-Saved Questions: If you choose to save part of your own question, only up to the first 300 characters of that question are stored.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

• Full chat conversations
• Messages or responses from AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, etc.)
• Any data you do not explicitly choose to save

How We Use Your Information

The limited data we collect is used solely to:

• Allow you to organize and revisit the conversations you personally choose to save
• Provide synchronization across devices using your Google account and Supabase storage

Data Storage

Saved titles (limited to 300 characters) and your account info are stored securely using Supabase. Some data may also be stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage or localStorage) for your convenience. This includes caching API responses, so you can quickly access previously fetched data without any API latency. No sensitive data or full conversations are stored locally.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties. Data is only shared with Google (for sign-in authentication) and Supabase (for secure storage).

Your Choices

You may:

• Revoke Google OAuth access at any time from your Google Account settings
• Delete saved data through the extension’s interface
• Uninstall the extension to stop all data collection

Security

We use secure authentication and encrypted connections to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.”
